Get Otto for Mac
Free while in early access.
Download Otto-mac.dmgmacOS 13 or newer · Intel and Apple Silicon
- Open the download
Open Otto-mac.dmg and drag Otto into Applications.
- Open it the first time
Otto isn't notarized by Apple yet, so right-click Otto in Applications and choose Open. After that it opens normally, and at every login.
- Add your Claude key
Otto opens its Settings. Paste a Claude API key from console.anthropic.com. For voice, add a Deepgram key too, or just type.
- Allow what it asks for
Microphone and Speech Recognition (for “Hey Otto”, recognised on your Mac), control of Finder (to move things to the Trash and back) and Accessibility (so the cursor can find Dock icons). macOS asks once each.
- Press Option + Command + Space
If a Finder search window opens instead, turn off “Show Finder search window” in System Settings › Keyboard › Keyboard Shortcuts › Spotlight.
